Meeting focuses on how to get Colonie back in the black

Getting the town of Colonie out of the red and back in the black was the focus of a meeting Tuesday night as town officials laid out their deficit reduction plans. It was a packed house at the first of a series of town-hall style.



Leaders announce major investments by IBM and NYS

Governor David Paterson and other state leaders were in Albany Tuesday making a major announcement about IBM. Our Steve Ference was there and has all the details on what could end up being hundreds of new jobs in our area.

Speed contributes to serious motorcycle crash

Police a motorcycle broadsided a car as it was making a left-turn. It happened at the intersection of New Scotland and Academy Road around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.



Fort Orange Club expansion plans discussed

The Fort Orange Club in Albany wants to expand. That has some residents and historians worried though because the expansion plans involve razing three buildings on Washington Avenue, where the club is located.
