Welcome back to a start of another new week. Hope everyone had a good weekend. Spent this past Sunday morning in downtown Saratoga Springs for the Read Run 5K. Despite some drizzly rain throughout the morning, things seemed to go really well. Lots of people participated to help Literacy in the Greater Capital region. There were lots of recreational type runners and a few hard core runners. You could spot the competitive ones a mile away. My job was to blow up balloons for the kids. Sadly, my balloon skills aren't quite what they used to be. I felt like I was at the french fry tray at a fast food restaurant. I had three high school girls that were collecting and distributing the balloons, and it seemed like I wasn't going fast enough for them. I cracked under the pressure. Just kidding....everyone was great and again thanks to all who supported the effort. Hope everyone will participate in the "Comet for a cure" to help the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. The first 40 people who raise 107 dollars for Relay for life will have the chance to ride the comet for 107 minutes at the Great Escape. Don't know if my stomach could handle it anymore, but if yours can, more power to you. Have a great week!
